Weekly Songwriter's Open Mic morphed from the monthly held Songwriter's Soapbox just a few months after opening the doors of M.A.D. Studios in 2012. Originally known as the Two'sDay Nite Music Club, the weekly event has grown and starting September 2015 will make a move to Wednesday nights, include a weekly area feature artist, and the $5 cover will include food and tea/water provided by sponsor Joe's Underground Cafe.

Since 2012 published spoken word artist Catherine the Great has presented M.A.D. Open Mic featuring CSRA poets, rappers, comedians, and more of all experience levels capped off with some of the best features on the planet! Right from the start M.A.D. Open Mic put it out hard and heavy even causing MTV to take notice prompting a taping of TV show MTV MADE" at M.A.D. Studios! And when it's hot out we have free iced tea...and when it's cooler, free coffee.

Every Third Saturday of Every month, Brooklyn native turned Augusta hip hop favorite Catch 22 hosts our M.A.D. Hip Hop Open Mic Night. Come out early as Catch 22 spins old school jams then hand over your backing tracks on CD, thumb drive, mp3 player or phone and get ready to tear down the stage.
