GETTING REVVED UP FOR THE RPM CHALLENGE
February1, 2016 / by John "Stoney" Cannon

It's February 1st and that means once again time for the annual RPM Challenge, a yearly creative challenge put out in 2007 to challenge music artist to just start their creativity by committing to creating a full album, from writing to recording to finish, entirely in the month of February. That first year the challenge, not a contest, attracted over 2,000 bands and every year the challenge only grows and grows.

Up until this year local artist Chris Hardy has jumped on the challenge four consecutive years resulting in a new album for years running. He is not the only area artist to take on the challenge and this year it appears that even more CSRA and surrounding area artists have taken up the musical flag to try and pull of the process of creating a full album in under a month. Nearly 20 artists from the area will be taking of the torch. But it is not to late to increase that number. All you have to do is hit up the RPM website and follow the instructions.

We here at Lokal Loudness are looking to spotlight all the artists who fulfill the RPM challenge. Participants can let us know how it's going by shooting us an email!
