Starting in 1977 Everette recorded eight studio albums in less than a decade’s time (most for RCA Nashville) charting several songs on the Hot Country Charts with "Over", "Giving Up Easy", "Hurricane", "Midnight Rodeo", "Just Give Me What You Think Is Fair", "Soul Searchin'", "My Lady Loves Me (Just as I Am)" and "I Could'a Had You" all reaching the top 10. In the 90’s Everette would open the massive Hurricane Central music venue near Aiken off of interstate 20.
