ONE LAST GA BACKROAD FOR LARRY JON WILSON June 21th, 2016 / by John Stoney Cannon Swainsboro native turned Augusta resident Larry Jon Wilson, a country artist who recorded a pair of major label album in the 70’s, passed away on this day in 2010. In addition to recording "Through the Eyes of Little Children" and "I Betcha Heaven's on a Dirt Road", Wilson also hosted the Georgia Backroads television series on PBS and appeared on an episode of Live from the Bluebird Café with songwriter Shawn Mullins.
