OUR PRESENT SUFFERING / OCCIDO / ABBERANT / DEAD MORALS / KILL THE HOST IRON HEIGHTS JANUARY 16, 2016 / BY KENDALL LEVESQUE January 22, 2016 Our Present Suffering kicked of the evening with an amazing set designed to get the crowd off of their feet. Their adrenaline provoking sound had the crowd hitting the “ Pit” by the second note! This band stands out among the sea of young local musicians. Their ADTR covers sent the roof flying off of the venue!! These guys absolutely rocked . Occido also had a brow raising set that added to the nights spectacle. They played off of Our Present Suffering’s excitement and added even more to the environment. This was yet another great opening act for the Headliners. Aberrant brought a different feel to the stage. The first two sets seemed to be tailored to the youthful crowd. What did Aberrant bring to the stage that was so different ? Well if you ask me they brought an old school metal vibe to the venue! Yet it was still modern enough to keep us “kids” in the “pit”. Okay so enough about the opening bands right? Lets talk about the out-of-towners for just a little bit. Dead Morals took over not only the venue but the whole block. Their modern sound swept us all off of our feet. Not only were their songs infectious, but I would dare to say they are the dominating party in their scene! Which took me personally by surprise due to the changes in the band lately and by that I mean the name change, and the change in vocalists. This is a band that is coming out swinging! Last but not least is Kill the Host. While I was the one party pooper who left early, I did catch one of their songs. From what I heard these guys are to be admired. They have such outstanding technic and style. I can’t wait to see them again and see the whole set !!!
